Undergraduate Students

Degree candidate

A student who has been formally admitted into a program leading to a degree awarded by the University of New Hampshire.

Full time Status

Enrolled in 12 or more credits in a given semester.

Three-quarter time Status

Enrolled in 9 to 11 credits in given semester.

HALF time Status

Enrolled in 6 to 8 credits in a given semester.

Less than HALF time Status

Enrolled in fewer than 6 credits in a given semester.

Special student status (Non-Degree Students)

A student who has not formally been admitted into a program leading to a degree awarded by the University of New Hampshire. Such students are usually restricted to part-time study unless permission is granted by the Office of Admissions.
