The minor in data analytics addresses the knowledge, skills, and ability to answer data-driven questions within a student's discipline or industry. Students will have the opportunity to prepare data for analysis, draw conclusions based on data, and present the results of data analysis.
NOTE: This minor may not be declared with the following majors: BS Business Management: Data Analytics or BS Computer Information Technology: Data Analytics.
Students will have the opportunity to:
1. Utilize the data analytics process to address industry-specific challenges.
2. Practice data mining, cleaning, and visualization techniques.
3. Define ethical and legal issues related to data analytics.
All minor courses must be completed with a minimum grade of C-, and a 2.0 grade point average must be maintained in courses for the minor. Two courses must be at the upper level (600 or 700). Only 8 credits may overlap between major and minor.
