Accounting (Minor) CPSO

This minor provides foundational accounting skills for careers requiring bookkeeping and knowledge of organizational processes in the field. The program prepares graduates to help organizations manage budgets, utilize accounting information systems, and gain knowledge in taxation.
NOTE: This minor may not be declared with the following majors: BS Accounting and Finance or BS Business Management: Accounting.
All minor courses must be completed with a minimum grade of C-, and a 2.0 grade point average must be maintained in courses for the minor. Two courses must be at the upper level (600 or 700). Only 8 credits may overlap between major and minor.
Program Learning Outcomes
Students will have the opportunity to:
- Acquire knowledge of professional accounting practices and research in the field of accounting.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of essentials in the field of accounting, enabling them to manage their personal and organizational bookkeeping.
