Criminal Justice Minor

This minor explores the roles of law enforcement, corrections, and criminals within the U.S. criminal justice system. Students will gain a foundational understanding of the theories and practices of individuals in each aspect of the criminal justice system.
NOTE: This minor may not be declared with the following majors: BS Criminal Justice.
Students will have the opportunity to:
1. Identify behaviors of criminals and victims.
2. Define the roles of law enforcement, corrections, and criminals within the justice system.
3. Describe the complex relationship between victims, law enforcement, criminals, and corrections.
All minor courses must be completed with a minimum grade of C-, and a 2.0 grade point average must be maintained in courses for the minor. Two courses must be at the upper level (600 or 700). Only 8 credits may overlap between major and minor.
