Our national award-winning program utilizes the Guiding Stars© nutritional rating system to provide our guests with healthy food choices. Our chefs are certified through the American Culinary Federation. We have our own registered dietitian who can help with any special dietary needs. What’s more, we work everyday to make sure our practices are sustainable.

New Student Programs

New Student Programs provides orientation and transition programs for incoming students and their families. These programs are intended to serve as introductions to the university, its expectations, and its resources. Participating in Orientation and attending Wildcat Days will assist in laying the foundation for your experience as a Wildcat at the University of New Hampshire.

Student Senate

The Student Senate is the official voice of UNH's undergraduate student body. The Student Senate and the various offices and officials underneath it work to advocate for student concerns and to sway the Administration to act in the best interests of the Student Body. The Student Senate, autonomous of the Administration, also controls the annually collected Student Activity Fee, a mandatory fee that all undergraduate students pay to fund student activities and events. The Student Senate also must approve changes to the Student Rights, Rules, and Responsibilities, and reviews other sections of the SRRR and the Student Code of Conduct.

University Police

The nationally accredited University Police Department’s mission is to support the University community in creating a safe environment that is conducive to higher education by protecting life and property while supporting the rights and dignity of all persons. Specific educational programs, including drug and alcohol abuse prevention, are provided by professionally trained police officers. Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) is taught to female students, staff, faculty, or community members, and a walking patrol provides escort services for students, faculty, and staff.
