Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) policy explains the University’s obligations under federal law and students’ rights regarding their education records. The policy addresses students’ rights to inspect and request amendment of their records, consent to disclosures except where otherwise permitted by law, limit the release of directory information, and file a complaint concerning alleged noncompliance. It also establishes expectations for access to, retention of, and protection of student records. The full policy can be found on the USNH policy website.
